So i make a simple and easy post about in which i explain you all about Offset Measurements with diagram .

# Offset Measurement on Total Station

The distances of different points situated outside a line can also be measured by the total station .For this the prism is placed on the base line and (0 , 0 , 0 ) are recorded as its coordinates. Then the prism is placed at some other point to find its coordinates .These coordinates can also found out indirectly even if here is some obstacle in between the point .

## Another procedure of Offset Measurement

Topography time if there could be a direct point of which can be determined by using the offset option .On this Total Station we can be found OFFSET in to 3 ways.

Offset by distance
Offset by angle
Offset by 2D

We will enter the offset distance and direction and distance of the target points from Offset option and we will press Meas option then the machine (Total station) will tell us the point coordinate.
